Trocanian Franciscan Assembly – The first traces are found in 1639 with a church and a home of the poor, and in 1857 the Franciscan Assembly was built. On April 14, 1882, near this church was opened a college, the first school of its kind in Albania, which after 5 years of education released the first generation of six Albanian students. Father Gjergj Fishta, Father Anton Mother, Father Joseph Blinishti, Father Peter Gjadri, Father Lorenc Mitrovic (Mazreku) and Father Engel Palić were the first to come out of this college. The Troshan College, with a bit of disconnect, remained open until 1921 to continue carrying out the function of the Assembly for the Education of New People (novicie) until 1945. The Assembly has a fascinating and attractive space at the foot of Troshan Mountains, near the National Rugova Lezha-Vau Deja.
